I first heard of Huib and his book The Social Brand at the ZeeMelt15 event I attended in June of 2015. The first thing I noticed both about Huib’s talk and his book, that this wasn’t a book on the latest strategy to get the most of Facebook, Twitter or any other social media platform out there. This book was about building a social brand which in essence is all about engaging the right people for the brand.
I am a recovering perfectionist.
Perfectionism is all I have known, I like things organised and everything to have its place. I like pristine lines and appreciate things in order. I hang my clothes and fold my towels in a particular way. Weird, not for me.
Recently, I came to the conclusion that perfectionism is not perfect. You might ask, why the change of heart?
Surprisingly, money isn’t holding our business back.
To grow our business is something we all strive for. However, there are lots of obstacles that come up and can alter our focus. I had to make intentional shifts in my energy to focus my time and effort to start to see the big picture for my company.
